I finished St. Ambrose University in 1992 and moved to Minnesota. Without much luck of landing a real job in the advertising/public relation field, I decided to go back to school to get my teaching degree at St. Thomas University. I graduated in 1996 with a Master's in Education and began teaching in a suburb south of St. Paul. I started teaching 5th grade and lasted for eight years and have now spent the last four in third grade. I have really enjoyed working in the field of education.
I met my wife Mary, a kindergarten teacher, at the school where I teach. We were married in 2002 and blessed with our first child in April 2007.
